Set within the iconic National Shooting Centre in Bisley, Surrey, our venue is dedicated to delivering sporting rifle, air rifle and archery experiences with distances of up to 100 yards. Whether you're new to the sport or a seasoned shot, we’re here to provide a safe, professional, and welcoming environment for all.
One of the most common questions we’re asked is: "Can I try rifle shooting without a firearms licence?" The answer is yes - and that’s exactly what we’re here to offer!
At Bisley Sporting Rifle, we’re making it easier than ever to explore the sport. While UK firearms laws mean you can’t just turn up and hire a rifle, our instructor led sessions provide a legal, structured, and supportive way to take part - no certificate required.
We’re proud to be managed by the team at Bisley Shooting Ground, one of the UK’s most respected clay shooting venues. Their reputation for delivering first class experiences will form the foundation of everything we do - from safety and service, to instruction and atmosphere.
For those without a firearms licence, our instructors will provide full tuition. You’ll have the chance to shoot both static and moving targets, with small bore and air rifles, and experience the unique thrill of shooting on one of the country’s most iconic ranges.
There's a variety of shooting options up to 100 yards for all skill levels - whether you’re taking your first shot or fine-tuning your technique for the season ahead.
Our facilities currently include:
A fullbore Running Deer target (available from 1st July)
Two smallbore Running Boar targets
Six 100 yard static firing points (to be upgraded to Electronic from 1st July)
A 50 metre Gallery Range
All of our firing points are fully under cover, so you can shoot comfortably year round, whatever the weather!
If you’re just getting started, air rifles are the perfect way in. With lower recoil and fewer legal requirements, air rifle sessions offer a relaxed and accessible introduction.
Whether you’re an adult looking to explore a new hobby or a parent introducing a young shooter to the sport (minimum age 10 years old) our air rifle sessions offer a safe and rewarding experience and a great way to start.
We’re also developing a selection of bespoke packages for corporate groups and private bookings. Whether it’s a team building day, a client entertainment event, or just a memorable group outing, we’ll be creating custom experiences to suit all. And of course, there will be clay shooting and rifle shooting packages on offer - more details coming soon!
